New Year under the stars
Spend the turn of the year somewhere special. Check the hotel’s dinner arrangements and the village programme, and plan your return after the evening out.
THREE PLACES TO DREAM ABOUT
Where will you spend the holidays?
Discover three different mountain bases. Compare their location, winter information and accommodation for your dates.
St. Anton
A mountain village with rail access and several Arlberg sectors. Match your accommodation to the lift or lesson you will use. The operator publishes a 2026/27 season calendar; confirm the actual open sectors and holiday timetable before departure.

Zermatt
Compare the village base, rail arrival and your chosen mountain access. Check the official lift and piste status for your dates, and plan evening journeys separately from the skiing day.
Winter information at the destination ↗Courchevel
Compare the different villages and the official event agenda. Confirm the date and ticket for each festive activity; older Christmas programmes are not evidence for 2026. Check hotel gala-dinner and minimum-stay terms before payment.

Make the festive escape yours
The details that make your holiday easier — from choosing dates to the last transfer.
Choose dates before choosing the offer
Check your school or workplace calendar. Compare travel before Christmas, Christmas week and New Year as separate options. Minimum stays, fixed arrival days and compulsory gala dinners may affect the final price. Confirm these with the hotel rather than assuming a low search price covers the entire trip.
Have a plan for changing conditions
Look at the official webcams, open lifts and slopes shortly before departure. A season calendar is a plan, not a snow promise. Select a base with other activities for your group, and check whether pedestrian lift tickets, thermal baths or excursions need separate reservations.
Book the daily route as carefully as the room
Reserve suitable lessons and rental only after confirming meeting points. Check arrival-day timetables, the last train or transfer and holiday opening hours. For New Year’s Eve, arrange the return to your accommodation before booking an evening event. Read cancellation terms for each separate service.
Before you book
Does Christmas mean guaranteed snow and open lifts?
No. Check current conditions, the operator’s lift status and the cancellation terms of each booking. Compare other winter activities for your group so the holiday is not dependent on one slope or event.
