IDEAS FOR YOUR WINTER TRIP

Winter holidays without skiing in Austria, Germany & Switzerland

Snowy walks, a mountain panorama and time together: a winter holiday can feel complete without a ski pass. Choose a village with activities you can reach independently. These DACH examples suit couples, families and groups where some people ski and others do not.

A relaxed day, with a weather alternative

Pick one main outing and leave time for lunch and a village stroll. Use designated winter walking paths and check current conditions. Keep a thermal bath or indoor attraction as a separate option when mountain weather changes; outdoor opening is never guaranteed.

Choose the village for everyone

For a mixed group, compare the walking route to cafés, the bus stop and the attraction as well as the ski lift. Sightseeing cable-car tickets, thermal admission and hotel spa access are separate products. Check children’s ages, accessibility and the exact meeting point before booking.

Seefeld: winter walks & day trips

Seefeld’s official winter-walking guide helps you choose a route on the plateau. For a separate outing, visit Innsbruck’s Nordkette or Swarovski Crystal Worlds in Wattens. Both require travel from Seefeld; neither attraction is at the village lifts.
