Tauplitz village, Bad Mitterndorf and Tauplitzalm offer three different ways to base an Ausseerland ski trip. The Tauplitzalm is car-free in winter, so a mountain stay needs a confirmed arrival route, luggage arrangement and last-lift plan. From valley accommodation, check the chosen lift or road access before booking. Cross-country skiing, winter walks and thermal-bath visits can add variety, but confirm openings and any separate tickets with the operators.
