01

Where should I stay?

Choose Zermatt for a stay inside the car-free village. Accommodation in Täsch means a train journey into Zermatt. The village station is near the Gornergrat railway; compare the hotel map with the mountain railway you will use.

02

Where can I check snow, weather and open lifts?

See the mountain on the webcams. For your ski day, open the operator’s information on snow conditions and lift operation.

03

How do I plan the journey?

By train: travel to Zermatt station in the village. By car: park in Täsch and continue by shuttle train; private cars cannot drive into Zermatt. For an airport transfer, check whether the last leg from Täsch is included.

Arriving by plane? Compare a transfer from your airport to your accommodation with Alps2Alps.

04

What costs should I include?

Compare the same dates and number of ski days. Your total includes accommodation, travel, ski pass, equipment and food. Add lessons or excursions only if you want them.

Staying in Täsch? Include parking and the daily train journey to Zermatt. For the ski pass, compare Zermatt-only and international coverage.

05

Where can I find suitable ski lessons?

The local ski-school directory below lists providers and their course information. Choose beginner or advanced lessons, then compare group and private lessons. Before booking, check the meeting point, lesson language and whether the ski pass and equipment are included.

What else should I know about this place?

Winter without skiing

Ride the Gornergrat railway for a Matterhorn panorama, then leave time for the village. Ordinary car access ends before Zermatt: arrange the final connection separately. Check the train operation and any published construction closure before booking; winter walking needs its own route check.
